Tim at Home. Caroline Aydelott (2023, Photography Series)

I had the idea to interview people from different walks of life about their opinions around climate change. My goal was to show how we all have varying perspectives and levels of understanding about this topic, ultimately sharing how they interact with the conversation around climate change, if at all. I wanted to take portraits of individuals and then ask them about their thoughts on the climate crisis. When choosing who to interview, I knew I wanted to interview someone from an older generation and someone who did not go to university. I felt that someone from an older generation would have a unique perspective as they have experienced the world through many eras of urban development, temperature changes, etc. I also felt that it would be important to interview someone who had not gone to university, because they have not had the same access to higher education and the world that surrounds that.
