In this composition, Hokusai applied the Western perspective method for the artworks to depict the Nihonbashi Bridge. Like other prints in the "Thirty-six views", Hokusai used the horizontal frame for the landscape print and the Ichikokubashi Bridge is as the vanishing point. Mt. Edo castle as well as the Fuji Mount looks down at the city of Edo from the left-side in the background. Here, you see the viewpoint of this ukiyo-e is on the bridge, Hokusai cropped one part of the foreground to capture the crowds on the bridge. Also, in this print, we can see Hokusai used Blue of water and sky with a different ton to create a sense of deep.
