17th Century Summer Kimono. Early Edo era dress, as the sleeves are shorter as compared to later Edo era Kimonos in which the sleeves are longer. Patterns on the dress include a traditional home with bridges and gardens, and carefully placed flowers. Light indigo color dyed in the Ohayatsuji method on white fabric. The Ohayatsuji method, was derived from scrunching the fabric in certain ways to create patterns.
