Hokusai manga, bridge

Full description
Hokusai manga expresses his idea of abandoning established techniques and his interest in new forms of art. In this painting, the most attractive part is the center part according to the name, the bridge connecting two mountains. Although the perspective is not that accurate, and space in the painting seems weird, it still indicates the early try of hokusai on adopting western perspective. The bridge using perspective indicates the separate distance between the two, and also the greatness of the bridge. Additionally, the further back of the bridge, there’s a white mountain-shaped area, which also uses perspective technique, provides context to the painting, and also shows the spectacularity of the mountains. As for the mountains, the lines are used accurately, and trees are used in dots, and equal sized.
