Full description
This iconic and world-recognized print is titled “The great wave off Kanagawa,” by artist Katsushika Hokusai. The size of the waves compared to the boats of what appears to be possibly fisherman reveals to the viewer the sheer power of these waves, being able to engulf these boats. In the background Mt. Fuji is small but still predominant, there could be a possible comparison between the wave and Mt. Fuji showing how they are “equal” in size/power.
