Stress Less: Connect, Relax, and Find Your Place
Full description
Many campuses offer counseling and wellness resources, but what can other campus entities do to support student well-being in the face of increasing mental health struggles? One approach is to turn our attention to student belonging and well-being through programs in academic libraries. Libraries are spaces where stress abounds during exam times or project deadlines but also have the advantage of often being popular gathering places for students in high traffic areas of campus. This presentation will discuss two new programs at the presenters’ institution to support student belonging and well-being: a digital library passport and coordinated brain break activities.
