Form and Function: Structuring Outreach to Support Wellness

Community Reads is an outreach initiative at the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College Campus Library that engages students, staff, and faculty in conversation about texts with social justice themes.Our programming has included book discussions, Zoom panel events, and community digital projects. All along, we have sought to center student wellness, and developed interest in how format and structure, as well as content can support wellness. In this roundtable, we will share our reflections on centering care for students in programming, and encourage participants to share their own experiences, with a focus on modality, structure, and event planning.
