Joining the Dance: Making Mental Health Matter through Campus and Community Partnerships

Resource added

Full description

This presentation will discuss how library workers at a regional comprehensive university forged a relationship with both campus and community partners to support student wellness. We collaborated with Counseling Services to educate library employees about mental health concerns, offer drop-in support through a “Let’s Talk” table hosted by clinicians in the library, and highlight resources and services available to students on social media. The lead presenter also fostered collaborations with a grassroots non-profit suicide prevention organization, including mental health painting workshops. We will highlight lessons learned and ideas for the future.
