The Hermaphrodites and Their Opposites Share Grace

One of the few images of purgatory 26 showing the tercets that have spurred contemplation and debate over the centuries, and shows again how Dante does not let us off the hook. It forces us to accept the nuance and contradiction inherent in life. Another beautiful image that reinforces the idea of intent over action and the supremacy of love from lust.
