Full Description

The University of Washington's Sephardic Studies Collection is one of the richest and most diverse Sephardic Studies collections in the world. Much of the collection is in Ladino, otherwise known as Judezmo or Judeo-Spanish, the language of the Sephardic Jewish people. Using the metadata of the digitized Ladino books from the Sephardic Studies Collection, I map and explore the Ladino publishing ecosystem throughout time and space using GIS tools.
