Arise, Athena!

At the 2015 BBC Proms the orchestra performs this piece, a musical score that describes how Athena "banished danger" and "brings wisdom to a troubled world". The score is grand and fierce presenting the power of Athena as a major Greek goddess. This piece is quite interesting as it was composed in 2015 by Eleanor Alberga and directed here by Bridget Caldwell, which means that it was created in reference to our contemporary time, however, it still invokes a feeling of power that would also have been felt and understood by the Greeks.
