Hades and Cerberus
Full description
This Image is a statue of Hades god of the dead and his multi-headed groundhog Cerberus. Cerberus guarded the gates of the underworld as well as the entrance to Hades. He made sure that the living did not enter the world of the dead. Although Cerebus was seen as viscous he did become a great companion and pet to Hades, serving him well.
This specific statue is on display at the Archaeological Museum of Crete in Greece.
