Hades Snatches Up Persephone
This picture shows the story of hades capturing persephone and taking her to the underworld. The painting shows the fight and battle that ensued when hades kidnaps her and essentially rapes her.. Hearing this causes Demator to fill with fury as she confronts Zeus and they come to a consensus. They decided that Persephone would spend half her time with him in the underworld and half the time on earth. This would allow her to tend to all the crops, hence the birth of the seasons.
