Full description
An oil canvas painting (50 x 115 cm) by Russian landscape painter Alexander Kiselyov in 1884.
The painting depicts Apollo holding and supporting Hyacinthus after accidentally striking him with a discus. Hyacinthus appears to be in pain as he is bleeding out and dying while Apollo looks down on him with guilt and sorrow.
