In the middle of the picture, the blind Oedipus hunches down in agony. He had blood or tears in his eyes. His kids sadly gave him a hug. The folks in their immediate vicinity gave them various expressions.
Full description
Oedipus killed his father and wed his mother while being seduced and ignorant. He cried out to the gods in desperation after realizing the truth, asking them to decide what would happen to his children.
