"Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with wimple, holding swaddled Christ Child, nimbed, is seated sideways on bridled ass. Small ox walks next to the ass, behind Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, with purse at waist, carrying with right hand on right shoulder, bedwarmer or warming pan draped with sack or cloth.
