Ideation Rounds

Purpose

• To generate and collect ideas, and to consolidate them into a project vision

Facilitation Instructions

• In groups of 2-3, we will generate ideas in rounds. A document has been created for each room.
• Each group focuses on a specific area and generates ideas. Add new ideas and +1 existing ideas in the document. After 10 minutes, we switch rooms/documents until everybody has generated ideas in all three rooms.
• Provide space for participants to mill about to find partners, then ask them to pair up
• In new small groups, we will refine and consolidate the ideas into an “elevator pitch.”
• To refine ideas, identify themes & quickly group ideas. Summarize themes into 2-3 sentences and identify what excites/interests you about these ideas/themes. Consider how would you convey your summary in a way that would make sense to someone unfamiliar to the project? Why do these themes stand out to your group?
