Comparison of Factors Influencing K-12 School Distribution in New Mexico

Sam Henkels, Evans School of Public Policy and Governance

The goal of this project was to see what factors influence high school graduation rates in New Mexico. For this project, I have mapped out the locations of all K-12 schools in New Mexico and looked at population under 18 per K-12 School. I have also mapped out various factors such as High School Graduation rate, population density, graduation rate and Hispanic and Non-White Percent of Population to see which of these factors relate and have the greatest influence on the graduation rate.
