Developing and Expanding a Health Information Collection to Support Student Wellness on Campus
Full description
Student health and wellness is directly tied to academic performance, and often the greatest obstacles to student success are health related. Leveraging the role of the library as an information hub and its centralized location on campus, two health sciences librarians created a new collection that brings together informational handouts from campus and local organizations alongside consumer health books. The collection has been a welcome and heavily used addition to the library and new partnerships have increased opportunities for promotion across campus, furthering the library’s mission and values for student success and wellbeing.
