Dou also showcases Whisper of the Wind, Whispering to the Wind… (Fig 10), a socially engaged performance piece. This work invites the artist or visitors to sit within a specially crocheted square, providing a space to synchronize with nature’s rhythm. Participants are encouraged to listen intently to their inner troubles and express their feelings openly, fostering a heart-to-heart exchange with the natural world. This act of communication with nature is more than symbolic; it represents a shift in mindset. Dou’s piece suggests viewing nature not just as an equal but engaging with it in a reciprocal and deeply connected manner.
