MisinfoDay Planning Sheet
Date | UW & WSU will host MisinfoDay 2022 on or around March 15, 2022. Can your program be hosted that same day, week, or month? What local school holidays or early release days should you consider when choosing a date? |
Time | Check the start and end time of schools most likely to come to your event. Our event is about 4 hours long, including a free hour for lunch. You could also combine a shorter MisinfoDay event with another on-campus activity. |
Location | In person or online? Where will you host students? |
Event Schedule | Use one of our schedules as a template or create your own. |
Partners & Topics | What topics do you want to cover? What departments or outside organizations can you partner with to find speakers, workshop facilitators, and volunteers? See our past topics. |
Outreach Plan | We recommend reaching out to local school librarians, teachers, and administrators directly. See our invitations to educators and registration form. Download the MisinfoDay logo here. |
Budget | Costs typically associated with our event include space rental, snacks, swag (pins, stickers), workshop materials (folders, pens, nametags), printing (handouts, signage), and some funds to support transportation or substitutes for schools in need. What will you need to provide for your event? |
